Chief Executive Officer
Layton knows how to take a business to the heights of success. He co-founded online loyalty marketing company MyPoints.com, and as its co-president, saw revenue and profitability more than double. Prior to serving in that role, Layton was head of business and corporate development for MyPoints.com, overseeing public and private company acquisitions and developing strategic partnerships with Fortune 500 companies. He was CFO during the company’s pre- and post-IPO periods and later helped guide the sale of MyPoints.com to United Airlines (NASDAQ: UAL) in 2001 and to United Online (NASDAQ: UNTD) in 2006. He is a graduate of the University of California's Haas School of Business, where he earned an M.B.A. Layton also holds a B.S. in Mechanical and Aeronautical Engineering from the University of California-Davis.
SCOTT GARNER
Chief Commercial Officer
Charged with helping to build solid partnerships and alliances, Scott brings significant business development and marketing savvy to the Adara Media team. He has a track record of success at both a Fortune 500 company and a venture-backed startup. As an executive for United Airlines, Scott led the development plan that created Orbitz.com, a venture funded by five major airlines, including United. Additionally, Scott was one of the founding board members of Orbitz, and he guided the company to a successful IPO. Scott was also president of the subsidiary of UAL Corporation responsible for monetizing select United assets, including its frequent flyer membership base and media channels. Scott has an M.B.A from the Darden School at the University of Virginia and a B.S. in Economics from Utah State University.
I-HENG MEI

I-Heng refined his expertise in enterprise search application development while working at Oracle, a global leader in business software. Applying his knowledge of advanced data analysis, I-Heng helped to develop the Adara Media Audience Platform. Prior to working at Oracle, he attended graduate school at Stanford University, earning a M.S. in Computer Science. Heng also holds a B.S. in Computer Science from North Carolina State.
CHARLES MI

Adara Media relies on the information extraction, data modeling, and text analytics expertise of Charles Mi. Inspired by his work in the machine learning and text mining fields, Charles helped develop the innovative analysis framework that drives the Adara Media platform. Before cofounding Adara Media, Charles worked at IBM Research – Almaden, one of eight laboratories worldwide that make up IBM Research. There, he conducted extensive research on text mining and business intelligence, and helped lead the development of the IBM WebFountain Anti-Money Laundering solution. Charles attended Stanford University for his graduate work, completing a M.S. in Computer Science. He earned a B.S. in Computer Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
KIT SIMON
EVP, Global CRO
Put simply, Kit delivers revenue. Under her guidance and management, Kit has built and managed sales teams that have consistently met or surpassed sales goals. Prior to joining Adara Media, Kit served as Vice President of Global Partner Marketing at Orbitz Worldwide where she more than tripled revenue. She also has a track record of success from digital corporate icons including online advertising network Blue Lithium (acquired by Yahoo!) and Internet portal Excite@Home. A highly experienced and energetic leader, Kit leverages her global sales and management knowledge to motivate for performance, product development and increased revenue. Kit recently served as secretary of the Chicago Interactive Marketing Association and has a B.A. in Archeology from the University of New Mexico.
BERNIE YU
Senior Vice President, Marketing
Bernie gained extensive knowledge and skill in marketing serving in key leadership positions at companies such as Disney Internet Group and American Express Consumer Card Services Group. Most recently, as Senior Vice President with JP Morgan Chase (formerly Washington Mutual Card Services), Bernie grew and managed the financial organization's co-brand/affinity credit card business. Prior to that experience, Bernie was Senior Vice President of Marketing for MyPoints.com, where he led all marketing functions. He played a direct role in growing the company's customer base tenfold to more than 10 million customers. Bernie also helped lead the $50 million IPO for MyPoints.com and a $210 million secondary offering. He earned an M.B.A. from the Stern School of Business at New York University and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Columbia University.
ELLEN LEE
Vice President, Product
Ellen comes to Adara with vast online marketing and branding experience coupled with a career focused on designing and launching new products and lines of business in both start-ups and large corporations. Ellen started her career at American Airlines and then Delta Air Lines working in pricing, yield management and internet distribution. While at Delta Air Lines, Ellen led the development plan that created Orbitz.com. Ellen then joined Orbitz as Vice President of New Ventures and launched several key products and profitable business extensions. Ellen then co-founded G2 Switchworks and served as Vice President of Business Development, leading all aspects of commercial relationship development and execution. After G2 was sold, Ellen took a stint outside of travel leading online marketing and brand development for the university sector of Career Education Corporation. Ellen holds an M.B.A from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a B.S. in Economics and Finance from Marquette University.
